She was new. He saw her picture & took note of her name. See, there’s power in knowing someone by name. A name is unique. It sets you apart and when someone remembers it, well then you know they’ve been paying attention… and Jason used it to make an impression. Later he called her by name & it stuck with her, “How did he know my name already?” She worked at the restaurant where he was the chef. Co-workers turned into friends. Friends eventually became more than friends, and the rest, as they say, is history.
I immediately fell in love with Karina & Jason. It could be my inner Foodie excited to find not only one but two people even more excited about food & using fresh, natural ingredients than I am. But it’s really more than that… I love how comfortable they are with each other… and they way they love which makes me want to smile ear to ear. The way he makes her laugh. The way she makes him smile. It just works & it’s been a pleasure to get to know both of them.
Karina & Jason – I feel deeply honored to have met you both & am so excited to be your wedding photographer. I’m quickly seeing how this is more than just a client-photographer relationship, I really feel you both becoming friends. That means a lot to me. I look forward to hanging out with you soon over a good meal & can’t wait to photograph & celebrate your wedding in June. Y’all are a joy! Much love & appreciation – Carrie Joy
How loving are these? Jason & Karina – you’re just too adorable for words.
And this is my favorite image of the day… look at their expressions!
I love the romance of the outdoors… we found a thicket full of blackberries that will most likely be amazingly delicious when they’re ripe. I also loved the trees in this area of the park.
This is another of my favorites from the day… it just represents perfect summer evenings to me.
Gotta love some gorgeous light! And I also love Karina’s beautiful lace top – set such a romantic vibe!
Because Karina had told me that one of she & Jason’s favorite things to do is get ice cream together, we headed to Pino Gelato for a nice cold treat and to take a few more fun, laid-back portraits.
And I’ll end with this cute one of the two of them hanging out, enjoying each other & finishing up their gelato.
