Emily & Teo - A Winter Wedding at Summerour Studio in Atlanta

It's amazing the connections that can be made over a shared passion for life. Emily and Teo first met at a spanish immersion camp in Minnesota (read more of their story here) and since then have traveled, learned and shared that passion for the spanish language with the world.

Teo and Emily's wedding day was full of emotion. It was the celebration of a wonderful foundation of love and friendship that's been built over time paired with the expectation of what's ahead. The wedding day is only the beginning. Emily & Teo had a real sense that this was only the start of their next adventure. And I can't wait to see where the future will take them.

Teo and Emily, you two are incredible. You remind me to open my eyes & see life outside of these borders. You inspire me with your sense of adventure. I feel so honored to have been part of your story! Thank you both for being real, for not holding back emotion but embracing each moment. Enjoy these images and please let me know if you ever want someone to come along & document your travels! ;-)  Carrie Joy

Summerour Studio was a stunning location for Emily & Teo's ceremony and reception! It seemed only fitting that Emily's Sarah Seven gown hang in the Tuscan-themed courtyard.

Jennifer Adams from Formal Faces did an amazing job on Emily's hair & makeup! Love the gorgeous curls and braids!

The W Midtown was the perfect backdrop for Teo & Emily's getting ready photos. Doesn't Teo look debonair?

The back of Emily's gown is my favorite. Isn't the lace elegant?

This amazing Jeep was Teo & Emily's get-away car! I love how it reflects their sense of adventure!

I love that Emily & Teo decided on a First Look! Not only did it mean that they had more time together on the wedding day,  but we were able to utilize pretty afternoon sunshine for their photos together.

And I'm in love with their expressions upon seeing each other for the first time!

Emily & Teo, y'all make me smile! You can't help but see the joy you bring out in each other.

This image on the right is one of my favorites. Love is beautiful.

Oh the twirl - another of my favorite moments! Isn't Emily's dress simply perfect for twirling?

Loved Emily's gorgeous bouquet by Heather Jones at Tulip!

I love that Emily & Teo had a combination of guys and girls standing to each side of them as they wed. Aren't the colors just perfect?

How adorable is this moment between the ring bearer and flower girl? I love that she's adjusting his tie for him! Awww...

I don't usually post many family formals, but I just had to point out how adorable Emily's & Teo's parents look - Aren't they perfect?

Emily & Teo's ceremony in Summerour Studio's indoor space was beautiful & emotional.

Shared little glances like this moment between Teo & Emily during the Ceremony are always my favorite!

Just moments after walking down the aisle as husband and wife, Emily & Teo took a quiet moment together.

Just before the reception, we took a moment for a few more images celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs.!!

As a tribute to their love for travel, Emily & Teo used luggage tags to share table assignments with the guests. And, an heirloom globe first belonging to Emily's mother and grandfather served as the guest book!

In lieu of wedding cake, Emily & Teo shared pies from The Pie Hole in Roswell; they were definitely a hit with all Emily & Teo's friends and family! The amazing food was provided by Endive

I love this sweet moment between Emily & Teo during their First Dance.

After the special dances, The Emerald Empire Band got the party going! They were amazing! :-)

Love this father daughter moment between Teo's father and sister! Aren't they sweet?

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Valdés! May the joy you felt on your wedding day be with you always!

Thank you to all the other vendors who helped make Teo & Emily's day amazing!
