The ocean has long been my special place to recharge and rest. My Dad grew up near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, so my childhood summers were spent riding the waves, making sandcastles and looking for seashells! It holds so many special memories for me, and all my stress just melts away as soon as my toes settle into the sand. Winter's shorter days and cold temps have me longing for the summer sun and time at the beach even more, so it seemed appropriate that I take a moment to revisit this beachy bridal shoot from last August on Jekyll Island.Read More
When I see Emily, I see an innate grace. A beauty that's comes from within and expresses itself in the kind way she treats others. I see her love for her family and the sweet way she hugs her friends. Capturing this special season in her life has been such an honor, and it's a privilege I truly value.
Just a couple weeks before the wedding, Emily, her Mom Judy and I all met up on a beautiful Sunday afternoon for Emily's bridal portrait session. Emily was absolutely stunning in her Justin Alexander gown from Belfiore Bridal! And, I just loved the additional sequin layer Emily had added to her gown! It absolutely sparkled in the warm sunset light!! I can't wait to share Emily & Oliver's wedding day soon, but in the meantime, enjoy these beautiful Bridal Portraits of Emily!

Isn't Emily's veil stunning?!! I love the movement in the wind & the sunset's glow on the water!
We had the most beautiful sunset the evening of Emily's Bridal portrait session, and I love how the colors in the clouds reflected on the water!
Emily, I'm so excited for you & Oliver! You were a stunning bride!
Friends & Family - stay tuned to see highlights from the wedding!
Oh y'all, the Bridal session is one of my absolute favorite sessions to photograph! Not only does it provide the opportunity for brides to spend additional time in their amazing gowns - it often means another chance to utilize the wedding venue, which was absolutely the case for sweet bride Emily! From the moment I entered Callanwolde Fine Arts Center on Venue Visit day, I dreamed of all the photo possibilities available at this stunning location! I love that we were able to incorporate the gorgeous architecture and details of the house outside of the time constraints of the wedding day!
And, I just loved Emily's classic style! In her Rosa Clara gown from LaRaine's Bridal Boutique, she reminded me of the amazing Grace Kelly! And, the special surprise ending of this shoot came when her adorable dog Rocky joined her for a few sweet photos in front of the house! It's almost too cute to handle!! I can't wait to share Emily & Austin's wedding day soon, but in the meantime, enjoy these beautiful Bridal Portraits of Emily!

I just adored the gorgeous windows! Isn't this beautiful?!
I just love the gorgeous ceiling and beautiful railing detail on the grand staircase!
Isn't Rocky adorable in his little bowtie? I love that Emily incorporated him into her session!
One of my favorite parts of Emily's gown was the bows on the back! So cute!!
Emily was such a beautiful bride! Excited to share images from her & Austin's wedding day soon! Stay tuned!!
One of the things I love most about being a part of the wedding industry is the people I've gotten to know through it. Through weddings, meet ups or by being a part of a styled shoot together, I've loved getting to know and supporting the other lovely businesses in our community! I was first introduced to White Magnolia Bridal when they graciously let us borrow a gorgeous Cristiano Lucci gown for the Winter Styled Shoot recently featured over on the Trendy Bride, and then later when Lauren wore a beautiful Augusta Jones gown also from White Magnolia Bridal in her gorgeous wedding to sweetheart Barrett. During this winter season, I finally had a chance to swing by and see the shop in person. I loved talking to owner Mallory and fell in love not only with the gorgeous gowns but with the style of the shop itself with its arched doorways and little pops of that amazing teal blue! It's such a gorgeous shop, and I love the personal touch Mallory & her team take in helping each bride find her dream gown! I highly recommend letting this team help you find your dream look! :-)
Y'all - I absolutely loved the gorgeous space - check out the gorgeous contrast those bridal gowns create against the teal blue wall! When can I move in?! ;-)
I'm such a fan of gorgeous details - from this stunning WToo bolero to these gorgeous belts - a little sparkle never hurt anybody! ;-)
Isn't the blue door so inviting?! I just adore this bridal shop & absolutely recommend you check it out in the search for your dream dress! Happy Wedding Wednesday, friends!
One of the nicest things about having friends within this industry is collaborating on fun, creative projects! One beautiful day towards the end of the Autumn, I asked my sister Sarah, who is a very talented hair stylist, if she'd be interested in doing a bridal shoot with me just for fun! We worked with the very talented and lovely model Jae for the first time who modeled a lovely headpiece from RomanticArt Life and a beaded gown from Gossamer for this ethereal bridal look. I think this would also be stunning for a spring soiree! Enjoy my favorites - all film, of course ;-)

Oh y'all, I have been anxiously awaiting the day I could share Rachel's gorgeous Bridal Portraits with you! And the day is finally here! Eeeeek! Rachel and Ryan were married on Saturday (yay! Congrats, y'all!) which means I can finally share these with you! Yay! Rachel is an amazing girl - both inside and out. It's been such a privilege to capture her & Ryan during this time in their lives - from their amazing Engagement session, to her Bridals, to the Wedding day - I have felt like I gained two more amazing friends. I'm so excited to share more from their day soon, but in the meantime, enjoy these beautiful Bridal Portraits of Rachel in her stunning Lazaro gown!
A few weeks back, Noi and I met up with the lovely Brenna to photograph some hair pieces from RomanticARTLife's new collection. It was a lovely afternoon, perfect for being creative and taking our time. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Brenna and making headway on my first ever only photoshoot in exclusively black and white film. I used Ilford 3200 for this shoot - shot using my Nikon F100 and Pentax 645n. Thank you, Noi for having me on this gorgeous shoot! :-)
Excited to share more film sessions soon! :-)
